SECONDARY SCHOOL - 6-12
Welcome to the ILC for Grades 6-12
The BHUSD ILC will start Spring Semester the week of January 5th, 2021. The partnership between the ILC and parents cannot be overstated to enable our learners to thrive. In alignment with regular school, this will run Monday through Friday of each week and conform to the school calendar.
If you wish to apply for the ILC you must already be enrolled in BHUSD. Visit www.bhusd.org to do so.
The Secondary School covers grades 6 through 12. Each student will remain in their current school as a Norman (BHHS) or Bulldog (BVMS) whilst attending the ILC.
The ILC for Grades 6-12 will use the platform APEX Learning. The available course offerings are listed below.
Students will be required to complete all curriculum and assessments through the platform with the support of an assigned teacher. Students will average roughly 5 hours of independent work, daily.
The teacher will meet with the student individually via technology each week for 1 hour in length to help mentor, tutor, and keep organized.
Also, the student can attend a Multiple Student Tutoring (MST) session for 2 hours in length per subject (Math, English, Social Studies, Science, and World Language) each week.
We are also offering an additional 30 minutes of Social Emotional Learning curriculum each week. For more information please see here.
Furthermore, any other office hour appointments may be set by the teacher for additional support.

Students can access free-reduced lunch by picking up meals at their designated location

Students can participate in any after school activities/ sports if Department of Health allow for group gatherings
